When renting a climate-controlled unit, you should consider the following:

1.  A climate-controlled unit is one in which the temperature in the storage unit will not go lower than 45 degrees or higher than 80 degrees, Fahrenheit.  Humidity is not controlled but is not allowed to get to moist.

2. It is recommended that you not over pack the unit.  Space should be left above and/or around the stacked goods to allow sufficient air-flow.  The air circulation is what makes “climate-control” work and a lack of space defeats the efects of a “climate-controlled unit.”

3. It is also recommended that all items be stored on pallets.  This will prevent moisture from the floor affecting the items.  Pallets are provided at no cost, upon request.  Subject to availability.

4. Locks shall be of a “paddle lock” style.  “Disc” locks are not allowed.
